18 drug dealers and promoters arrested in three governorates

The Ministry of Defense announced the overthrow of (18) drug dealers and promoters in three governorates. The Ministry stated in a statement: 'The detachments of the Baghdad Intelligence and Security Directorate arrested (14) wanted drug dealers and drug promoters in various areas of Baghdad. Arrest warrants were issued against them in accordance with the provisions of Article (28) Narcotics, and narcotic substances such as crystal, marijuana, and paraphernalia were seized in their possession, in addition to sums of money.' It added: "The General Directorate's detachments overthrew four drug dealers in the Babylon and Diwaniyah governorates red-handed. Narcotic substances were seized in their possession and they intended to sell in Babylon governorate. Legal measures were taken against them and they were referred to the judiciary."
