The number of martyred journalists since the start of the Israeli occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, has risen to 177. The Government Media Office in Gaza said in a statement Monday that photojournalist Ayman Mohammed Ruwaished was martyred in an Israeli occupation bombing that targeted the northern Gaza Strip, bringing the number of martyred journalists to 177 since the start of the genocide war on the Gaza Strip. During the year of the war on Gaza, the Israeli occupation targeted journalists by killing them or directly targeting them while the y were working in the field, which resulted in injuries, many of which led to the amputation of limbs of the injured journalists, while the occupation destroyed more than 182 media institutions, headquarters and offices in the Strip.
