The Federal Police Command forces arrested (12) suspects in various legal cases and seized weapons and ammunition in Baghdad. The Command stated in a statement that: "According to judicial arrest warrants and security practices, the security effort of the Fifth Division units in the Federal Police within the sectors of responsibility resulted in the arrest of (12) suspects in cases of (drugs, premeditated murder, quarrel, theft, firing bullets, violating residency conditions) in the areas of (Sadr City, Umm al-Kubar and al-Ghazlan, al-Bustan neighborhood, al-Husayniyah al-Maamel, al-Shaab, al-Daseem, al-Orfali, al-Kufa neighborhood) in Baghdad." It added: "Inspection campaigns were carried out on unlicensed weapons in the areas of (Al-Rashidiya, Al-Talbia, Al-Baqir neighborhood), which resulted in the seizure of (6 rifles of different types, two pistols, 415 bullets, and other materials), and the accused were referred with the seized items to the competent authorities."
