Youth Sustains Injury from Israeli Army Gunfire Near Jerusalem

Jerusalem: A youth on Wednesday evening sustained an injury from Israeli army gunfire in al-Ram town, north of the occupied West Bank city of Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS). The PRCS reported that its crews provided first aid treatment to a young man who sustained an injury from live ammunition fired by the occupation forces in the town, and evacuated him to a hospital.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for 'wanted' Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents. These raids are conducted without the need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
