Yemen Center condemns crime of targeting civilians in Taiz and border areas

The Yemen Center for Human Rights condemned the crime committed by the mercenaries of aggression against civilians in Al-Ikhdu'a district of the province of Taiz, killing and injuring 17 women and children.

In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the Center stated that military groups of mercenaries shelled homes and farms in the Al-Ikhdu'a area with the result that three 3, including two children, were killed and 14 others, including 8 women and four children, were injured.

The statement noted that the ongoing crimes committed by Saudi forces, mercenaries and artillery shelling of villages in the border areas of Sa'ada province are part of ongoing crimes and violations on a daily basis and result in civilian casualties of different age groups.

The Center called on the United Nations, the United Nations envoy and the Human Rights Council to condemn these violations and crimes and to take a serious stand to stop the crime of aggression and the ongoing blockade of Yemen.

The Center's statement called on the Islamic and Arab peoples, Governments, free organizations and the free world to act seriously at various levels to stop the crimes of the aggression coalition and mercenaries and to dismantle its blockade of Yemen.
