Gaza city: A Palestinian woman identified as Taghreed Zomlot was killed on Saturday after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip. Her death adds to the rising toll of casualties in the region.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli military attacks in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip since dawn on Saturday has reached five, including two children and one woman. The escalation has significantly impacted the civilian population.
Earlier in the day, medical sources reported that the overall death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip had increased to 73,023 Palestinians killed and 173,316 injured since October 7, 2023. The scale of the conflict has resulted in substantial loss of life and injuries.
The same sources indicated that since the start of the ceasefire announced on October 11 last year, a total of 1,012 Palestinians have been killed and 3,208 injured. Additionally, 784 bodies have been recovered during this period, highlighting the continuing humanitarian crisis in the region.
