Gaza: The World Food Program (WFP) has recently indicated that the food aid sent to the conflict-ridden Gaza Strip since May 19 amounts to 'less than one day's worth of food'.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, WFP has managed to send only 9,000 metric tons of food aid into Gaza since May 19. This quantity is insufficient, as it represents less than a single day's worth of food for the entire population over a period of more than four weeks.
WFP expressed its readiness to increase the aid supply but emphasized the need for greater access and improved conditions to safely carry out its operations. The organization stressed the urgency of the situation by stating, 'The time to act is NOW.'
