Anata: Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday demolished perimeter walls in the town of Anata, northeast of occupied Jerusalem. The demolition activity has raised concerns among local residents about the future of their homes and properties.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the head of the Anata Municipality, Raha al-Refai, reported that the demolitions were executed by the Israeli forces citing the reason as the construction of the walls without permits issued by Israeli authorities. This move has added to the ongoing tension in the region over building regulations and property rights.
Currently, more than 100 homes and structures in Anata are facing the threat of demolition. Among these, 21 structures are at immediate risk, as there are no appeals or freeze orders pending from Israeli courts to halt the demolitions. This situation has left many residents anxious about the stability and security of their residences.
