RAMALLAH: Weather on Tuesday is expected to be relatively hot to hot with no change in temperature, which remains two degrees above the normal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD). Winds are light to moderate, northwesterly, and occasionally picking up in speed. Sea conditions will see waves of light to moderate height. As evening approaches, temperatures will become mild in mountainous regions and relatively warm elsewhere. Very hot conditions are expected for Wednesday with a rise in temperature, becoming three degrees warmer than the annual average. A heatwave is expected to affect the country on Thursday thus weather is expected to be very hot. Temperature is expected to rise and become 5-6 degrees higher than the seasonal average. A slight drop in temperature is expected on Friday while remaining three degrees warmer than the annual average as the weather continues to be very hot. PMD warned citizens against exposure to direct sunlight for a long period, especially during peak hours, and of the danger of setting fires in areas where grasses and dry trees abound.
