Ramallah: The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) reported that weather conditions on Monday are predicted to be partly to mostly cloudy, with temperatures remaining below the seasonal average. Residents should prepare for scattered showers and the possibility of thunderstorms in some regions, which are expected to persist until the afternoon. As the evening approaches, weather conditions are anticipated to stabilize, with northwesterly to southwesterly winds becoming active and occasionally producing strong gusts, leading to high sea waves.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, during the evening and night hours, the weather will transition to partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with cold conditions expected in mountainous areas and relatively cold temperatures in other parts of the country. Looking ahead to Tuesday, the forecast suggests partly cloudy to clear skies, with spring-like, pleasant, and moderate conditions prevailing in most areas as temperatures begin to rise. The winds are expected to shift to a northwesterly to southwesterly direction, remaining light to moderate, while sea waves will be light to moderate.
On Wednesday, a further increase in temperatures will result in partly cloudy and relatively hot weather in mountainous regions, while other areas will experience hotter conditions. Light to moderate northwesterly winds will continue to blow, and sea waves will remain light. By Thursday, a hot and dry air mass is anticipated to affect the country, bringing hot and dry weather to most areas and causing temperatures to rise even further. Winds will vary from light to moderate, shifting from northwesterly to southeasterly, with sea waves staying light.
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning to citizens about the potential for strong winds, the possibility of flash floods in certain valleys and low-lying areas in the eastern and southern regions, as well as the risk of road slipping and reduced horizontal visibility.
