Ramallah: Vice President Hussein Al-Sheikh welcomed the sincere efforts of US President Donald Trump to end the war. In a statement issued on Tuesday, Al-Sheikh expressed his confidence in President Trump's ability to find a path to peace.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Al-Sheikh also renewed the joint commitment with the United States and all partners to end the war and reach a comprehensive agreement and just peace based on the two-state solution.
Al-Sheikh emphasized the necessity for constructive and positive engagement to reach an agreement and ensure its implementation. He highlighted the importance of achieving security, stability, and peace for the peoples of the region. Furthermore, he pointed out that all efforts must now be directed towards halting the war, stopping the killing, and addressing the destruction and starvation impacting the affected areas.
