Baghdad, The US Central Command announced the killing of 18 ISIS members and the arrest of 63 others in joint security operations in Iraq and Syria during the past three months. The Command said in a statement: 'In cooperation with our partners in the mission to defeat ISIS, the Iraqi security forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces, we carried out a total of 94 missions to defeat the organization, which led to the killing of 18 ISIS members and the arrest of 63 in the period from January to March. It explained that in Iraq, 66 joint operations resulted in the killing of 11 ISIS members and the arrest of 36 others, and in Syria, 28 joint operations resulted in the killing of seven ISIS members and the arrest of 27 other members. The Command indicated that the ongoing pursuit of approximately 2,500 ISIS fighters throughout Iraq and Syria is a critical element in the permanent defeat of the organization, and equally important are the ongoing international efforts to return and rehabilitate more than 9,000 IS IS detainees in detention facilities in Syria, and the return and rehabilitate of more than 45,000 individuals and families from Al-Hawl and Roj camps.
