Hebron: A Palestinian resident and his wife sustained injuries on Friday morning following an assault by extremist colonists in Masafer Yatta, located south of Hebron. The incident was reported by a local activist who highlighted the growing tension in the area.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, activist Osama Makhamreh detailed that the colonists targeted the homes of Palestinian residents in the village of Susiya within Masafer Yatta. The assault involved beating a man and his wife with sticks and clubs, resulting in head and hand injuries. The injured couple was subsequently taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
The attack did not stop there. Colonists also targeted the residence of another local, vandalizing several fruit trees and causing damage to his vehicle. In a separate incident in Khirbet al-Fakhit, also in Masafer Yatta, several colonists invaded the area, roaming near Palestinian homes with the intent to provoke and attack the residents.
These incidents are part of a broader pattern of aggression by colonist gangs, who, under the protection of the occupation army, have intensified their attacks on Palestinian citizens and their property in Masafer Yatta. The aim is reportedly to force the local population to vacate the area, facilitating colonial expansion.
