Colonists Ignite Tension by Setting Fire to Vehicles and House in ‘Atara

Ramallah: Colonists set fire to four vehicles and parts of a house in the town of 'Atara, northwest of Ramallah, at dawn on Friday, according to local sources. The attack targeted the eastern part of 'Atara, where colonists used Molotov cocktails to cause material damage and left behind racist slogans sprayed on the walls across the area.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the occupation army intervened to provide protection for the colonists during the incident. This attack follows recent activities by colonists in the region, where they have been rebuilding tents in the Jabal Khirbet Tarfin area near 'Atara's entrance. The occupation army had previously demolished these tents four times.

Last Monday, colonists established the outpost at Jabal Khirbet Tarfin for the first time, aiming to seize control of the area, which spans approximately 2,000 dunums and holds archaeological significance. The ongoing tensions in the region continue to escalate as these actions persist.
