New York: The UN Security Council is holding a closed consultation session today, Monday, under the item "Protection of Civilians in Armed Conflict" to discuss food insecurity in Gaza. Members are expected to hear a briefing from Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Joyce Msuya. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Council will also hold a separate consultation session in the evening on the humanitarian situation in Sudan.
