UN’s Guterres Emphasizes Two-State Solution for Peace in Palestine

Gaza: UN Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres affirmed last night that peace in Palestine must be based on the two-state solution. In his address to the BRICS summit in Brazil, Guterres added that peace also begins with an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza, the immediate and unconditional release of hostages, the free and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid, and an end to the devastating annexation and violence in the West Bank.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Guterres expressed particular concern about the weaponization of artificial intelligence, in a world where "peace is more urgent than ever," stressing that AI requires a multilateral response based on justice and human rights. He stated that AI should not be controlled by a select few and emphasized that it must benefit everyone, particularly developing countries, which should have a substantive role in global AI governance.
