Gaza: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has renewed its plea for the lifting of the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip, citing urgent concerns about famine in the region.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the agency has been inundated with dire messages from Gaza, including communications from its own staff, highlighting the severity of the situation. The agency conveyed this information via its X platform, underscoring the urgent need for action to address the humanitarian crisis. It noted that the ongoing blockade has led to a dramatic forty-fold increase in food prices, exacerbating the difficulties faced by the residents of Gaza.
