Cairo: Palestine has requested an extraordinary session of the Arab League Council to be held tomorrow, aiming to address the catastrophic conditions in Gaza and the ongoing violations by the occupation forces. The Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the Arab League, Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk, emphasized the urgent need for this meeting at the level of permanent delegates to discuss the alarming escalation in the Gaza Strip and the continuous Israeli violations affecting the Palestinian people and religious sanctities.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, Ambassador Al-Aklouk highlighted the dire circumstances faced by civilians in the Gaza Strip, who are subjected to a siege of starvation and senseless violence. He accused the occupation forces of deliberately targeting hungry civilians at aid distribution points, resulting in the deaths of nearly 1,000 Palestinians who were attempting to secure food for their families.
Al-Aklouk further stressed that the occupation's use of starvation is a systematic weapon of genocide, arguing that the so-called humanitarian relief provided is merely a deceptive tool used to harm Palestinians under the guise of aid. He condemned these actions as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, underscoring the need for immediate international attention and intervention.
