This statement underscores the harsh conditions faced by young residents in the region. UNRWA explained that children in Gaza are often forced to spend their time outside the classroom due to ongoing conflict, which compels them to repeatedly flee their homes. The agency also noted the severe scarcity of food, stating that children are "barely eating." The situation is exacerbated by the fact that there are one million children in Gaza, all facing these dire circumstances. The agency emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza, stressing that peace is crucial not only for the children but also for a better future for the entire region.
