NEW YORK: The UNRWA Commissioner-General, Philippe Lazzarini, said that UNRWA and partners vaccinated hundreds of thousands of children, reaching 90% vaccination coverage. 'Our next challenge is to provide children with their second dose at the end of September.' 'A rare positive story from Gaza: the 1st. round of the polio vaccination campaign ended successfully,' said Lazzarini in a post on X. 'When there is a political will, assistance can be provided without disruption,' he added. He stressed that what people in Gaza urgently need, wherever they are, is an immediate ceasefire.
