The United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeidah Agreement (UNMHA) team visited the service facilities that were targeted by the Israeli aggression, last Saturday, with a number of raids. The team, along with a number of local leaders and officials of the facilities that were affected by the criminal bombing, were briefed on the damage caused to Hodeida port , and the destruction of the bridge cranes, the restoration of which had been completed from the previous damage they were exposed to as a result of the bombing by the Saudi-American aggression during the year 2015 AD. The UN team listened to an explanation from local leaders and facilities officials about the gravity of this crime and its consequences on the humanitarian situation, and the extent of adherence to United Nations standards and procedures related to the ports being free of any military manifestations, especially since they are subject to supervision by the United Nations mission and continuous field visits. Those in charge of Hodeida po rt called on the United Nations mission to carry out its role and responsibilities in accordance with the decision and tasks of forming this mission, condemn the brutal Israeli aggression on the port, and submit a report on the extent of the damage and blatant violation to which this vital artery was subjected. They stressed that the United Nations must bear full responsibility for not playing its desired role regarding these catastrophic repercussions and the damage that affects the interests of the Yemeni people. These vital facilities are civilian facilities that provide services to millions of Yemenis. This visit of the United Nations Mission team to Support the Hodeida Agreement comes without mentioning that the United Nations expresses its concern regarding the Zionist aggression against civilian facilities in Hodeida, the civilian casualties, and the necessity of working with all parties to exercise restraint, and not indicating any information about what will result from it.
