New York: The High Commissioner for Human Rights has urged all parties involved in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to make tangible progress towards a two-state solution. Volker Trk, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, emphasized the need for immediate steps by Israel to end its continued illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian territory.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, Trk released a statement urging governments to leverage the upcoming high-level conference on Palestine in New York as an opportunity to exert maximum pressure on the Israeli government to resolve the ongoing situation in Gaza. He warned that countries failing to use their influence might become complicit in international crimes.
Volker Trk's call to action highlights the international community's role in facilitating a peaceful resolution and underlines the urgency of taking concrete steps towards achieving a lasting solution.
