Ramallah: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has declared Israeli reactions to the recent French decision to recognize the State of Palestine as hostile to peace. These reactions, expressed by various Israeli officials, are seen as dismissive of political and negotiated solutions to the long-standing conflict.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Palestinian ministry stated that such Israeli responses perpetuate a cycle of violence, wars, and tensions within the region. The reactions signify Israel's continued refusal to acknowledge the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people, as outlined in United Nations resolutions that have garnered international consensus.
The ministry further emphasized that these developments are indicative of expansionist colonial plans aligned with an official Israeli policy. This policy aims to exacerbate crimes of genocide, starvation, displacement, and annexation, which the occupation government allegedly commits daily. Such actions are reportedly evident in the Gaza Strip, the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and other illegal unilateral measures. The ministry asserts that these efforts are intended to undermine the possibility of establishing a tangible Palestinian state, highlighted by a series of Israeli decisions that deepen the issues of ethnic cleansing and annexation.
