NABLUS: A Palestinian young man and a child were injured by gunfire tonight fired by Israeli terror colonists during an attack on the village of Asira al-Qabliya, located south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources. The head of the Asira al-Qabliya Village Council, Hafez Saleh, reported that colonists from the Yitzhar colony-built on stolen Palestinian land near the village-launched an assault on the eastern part of the village that involved intense gunfire. The terror attack resulted in a 20-year-old man being shot in the abdomen with live ammunition and a 16-year-old child sustaining injuries to his hand. Both victims were subsequently transferred to hospital for medical treatment. Saleh added that the colonists set a parked vehicle on fire. Furthermore, they targeted a house with Molotov cocktails, causing a blaze to erupt in the house. No further injuries were reported so far. Terror attacks by Israeli colonist militias are a common feature of the daily life under colonial se ttler occupation in the West Bank, but have seen exponential growth in recent months with the rise of hard-right fascism in Israel's government coalition.
