Ankara: Turkish Communications Director Burhanettin Duran has asserted that Israel is a destructive regime, which thrives on chaos rather than order, and disregards international law.
According to TRTworld.com, Duran made these remarks during the Gaza: Humanity's Litmus Test panel at the Communications Directorate in Ankara, where diplomats, academics, and members of the press gathered. In his address, Duran emphasized Turkey's steadfast position under President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which includes securing a permanent ceasefire, facilitating humanitarian aid, and establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Duran underscored the role of Turkey's Communications Directorate in ensuring that the situation in Gaza remains a focal point on the global agenda. He highlighted efforts such as exposing over 250 instances of Israeli disinformation and organizing international conferences and press tours. Duran remarked that communication is not just an intellectual pursuit but a moral obligation, aiming to awaken the world's conscience and document Israel's actions for posterity.
Furthermore, Duran criticized Western media for their perceived bias and accused them of complicity in disinformation. He praised Turkey's press and communication bodies for spearheading a global movement of conscience. Duran quoted President Erdogan, stating that while Israeli forces may attempt to silence Turkish journalists, they cannot suppress the truth.
