Gaza city: Britain and France condemned the Israeli occupation's attack and aggression on Gaza City. British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper described the Israeli attack on Gaza City as barbaric and heinous, stating that it will only lead to increased bloodshed. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Cooper emphasized in an official statement that the new military operations by the Israeli army in Gaza are not only brutal but will also escalate the violence, resulting in more civilian casualties and endangering hostages' lives. She highlighted the urgent need to halt the violence, safeguard civilians, allow unrestricted humanitarian aid access, secure the release of hostages, and work towards a sustainable and lasting peace. Cooper further urged the international community to take responsibility and apply pressure on the Israeli occupation to stop its military actions, warning that continued escalation would exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and destabilize the entire region. Sh e assured that London will persist in its collaboration with international partners to uphold international humanitarian law. In parallel, the French Foreign Ministry expressed grave concerns over the dire humanitarian and health situation in the Gaza Strip, where residents are grappling with famine and a severe lack of basic necessities and emergency medical care. The ministry urged the occupying authorities to lift all restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza immediately and to resume negotiations aimed at achieving a ceasefire as soon as possible.
