Istanbul, The Turkish Foreign Ministry said that 'any operation that will take place in Rafah will affect the entire world,' and called on Israel to withdraw from the side of the crossing it controlled immediately. Turkish Foreign Ministry Spokesman Oncu Kaçali expressed in his post on the 'X' platform on Tuesday that his country welcomed the Palestinian side's acceptance of the latest proposal regarding a ceasefire in Gaza and the exchange of prisoners. Kaçali stressed, "While there has been a positive development towards stopping the destruction and massacres in Gaza, the escalation of the Israeli attacks on Rafah shows once again that the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not acting in good faith." He stressed that "any operation carried out in Rafah will not only affect the region, but the entire world." He added: Israel must immediately withdraw from the Palestinian side that it controlled at the Rafah crossing, and return to the status quo in Rafah and the border gate quickly. This morning, the Israeli army announced control over the Palestinian side of the Rafah land crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, by invading the Philadelphia (Salah al-Din) axis along the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt for the first time since its withdrawal from Gaza in 2005. With Israel taking control of the Rafah crossing, the main corridor for humanitarian aid, was closed in both directions, which threatens to worsen the disaster, especially since food stocks in Gaza only cover one to four days, according to the United Nations.
