Ankara, The Turkish Defense Ministry announced neutralizing five members of the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq. In its statement, the ministry said that the militants were targeted in airstrikes in the Hakurk region, north of Iraq, stressing its determination to continue to fight militant groups until they are neutralized. Turkish security forces frequently target PKK locations within Turkiye and beyond, in addition to pursuing its members in response to PKK attacks which target Turkish security and military personnel, as well as Turkish citizens.
