The Turkish ministry of defense announced Sunday the elimination of 16 militants from the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq and Syria. In a statement today, the ministry said that the Turkish army eliminated 11 PKK militants in the Asos, Hakurk, Gara regions of northern Iraq, while eliminating five others in the Euphrates Shield zone in northern Syria.
