Turkish Defense announces the killing of two PKK militants in northern Iraq

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the killing of two PKK militants in northern Iraq.

The Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement today, Sunday, that one of the Turkish army units stationed in the Operation Claw Lock area in northern Iraq monitored movements of a number of PKK militants, and after an exchange of fire, it monitored the killing of two of them.

The Turkish army carried out a large-scale military operation on April 18 of last year, and it is still ongoing, dubbed Claw Lock, against the strongholds of the PKK in the regions of Matina, Zab, Afshin and Bazian in northern Iraq.
