ANKARA - Ma'an - Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Oncu Keçali announced that his country is continuing to work to bring back the body of the martyred Turkish-American activist Aisha Nour Aygi after she was killed by an Israeli sniper in Beita, south of Nablus. "We continue to work to bring the body of our citizen Aisha, who was killed by Israeli soldiers, to Turkey," Keçali said in a statement issued on Monday. On Friday, the Israeli occupation army killed activist Aisha Nour with live bullets while she was participating in an event denouncing settlements in the town of Beita. He explained that, at the request of Aisha Noor's family, Turkey is working on the option of transporting the body by direct flight to avoid delays in handing it over to her family. He pointed out that the Turkish Consulate General in Jerusalem is following up on the matter, and that it is in contact with the local authorities to complete the transfer procedure as soon as possible. The Turkish official said that, at the family's request, the body is planned to be buried in the Didim district of Aydin province in western Trkiye. Source: Maan News Agency
