President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received today, Monday, at the Baghdad Palace, Kirkuk Governor Ribwar Taha. During the meeting, according to a statement by the Presidency of the Republic, the latest developments in the situation in Kirkuk Governorate were discussed at the security, economic and service levels. The President of the Republic stressed the importance of Kirkuk and its specificity and the need to enhance brotherhood and peace among its various components. He stressed the need to activate and accelerate the necessary steps to revive the economic and service reality in Kirkuk, stressing his support for the legitimate demands of its people in terms of security, service and development. For his part, the Governor of Kirkuk expressed his thanks and appreciation for the directives and interest of the President of the Republic, stressing his efforts to serve the people of the governorate with all their components.
