The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, head of the Arab Journalists Federation, Mu'ayyad Al-Lami, and the Tunisian Ambassador to Baghdad, Shukri Al-Latif, stressed the importance of strengthening fraternal ties between Iraq and Tunisia, especially in the media and cultural fields for the benefit of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples. The Tunisian ambassador, during his visit to the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and his meeting with the head of the Journalists Syndicate, Mu'ayyad Al-Lami, and members of the Syndicate Council, expressed his happiness and admiration for the effective and important role played by the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, whether at the local, Arab or international levels, as it enjoys distinguished relations with a great impact that is positively reflected on the reality of the Arab media in general. For his part, the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Mu'ayyad Al-Lami, expressed his thanks and appreciation, on behalf of the Iraqi journalistic family, to the Tuni sian government for its decision to cancel the entry visa to Tunisia for Iraqis, stressing: "This decision is a source of appreciation and pride for the Iraqi government and people." During the meeting, Al-Lami also provided an explanation of the nature of the work of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and its institutions in the field of professional and media work, expressing his thanks to the Tunisian ambassador for his visit to the Syndicate's headquarters.
