The Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces, in conjunction with the army forces, today, Monday, launched a large security operation in Nineveh Governorate. A statement by the Popular Mobilization Commission stated: 'The operation, in which several sections of the aforementioned command and the 33rd Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces participated, along with a force from the 76th Brigade of the 16th Division in the army, included conducting a complete survey and inspection of several axes south of the governorate.' The statement added: 'The operation comes within the joint efforts exerted to tighten the noose on terrorist elements and preserve the region from any security breach or targeting of citizens.'
