The National Security Service announced the dismantling of one of the most dangerous drug trade and smuggling networks in the north of the country. The Service stated in a statement that, based on the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to the National Security Service regarding intensifying efforts to pursue crime and drug gangs, and in continuation of the specific strikes and ongoing campaigns carried out by our Service, our detachments were able to dismantle one of the most dangerous trade and smuggling networks, and arrest its members. The Service indicated that the operation was carried out according to judicial warrants in coordination between the North Baghdad Security Directorate and the Asayish Operations Department (in Sulaymaniyah).
