The Director General of the Department of Labor and Vocational Training in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Osama Majeed Al-Khafaji, discussed with the World Bank delegation the joint cooperation document for the economic inclusion project for social protection beneficiaries in Dhi Qar Governorate. The Ministry of Labor stated in a statement, 'The two sides met in Istanbul and discussed the terms of the cooperation document that targets the category of those able to work and those covered by social protection by empowering them economically in multiple fields.' Al-Khafaji explained, 'The project will depend on the impact measurement indicator, to be circulated later on to the rest of the governorates by providing the necessary support through the adoption of programs and new ideas for capacity building and training in specialized technical fields, to improve professional skills and increase knowledge in supporting and monitoring small projects, in addition to understanding labor market indicators, and the basics of supply and demand in it, in a way that serves the groups benefiting from the ministry's services and its various formations.
