Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Planning, Muhammad Ali Tamim, stressed the importance and depth of bilateral relations between Iraq and Azerbaijan, calling on Azerbaijani companies to enter and work in Iraq, and to benefit from investment opportunities in all fields. The Ministry of Planning said in a statement that the Minister of Planning received the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Iraq, Naseer Mammadov and his accompanying delegation and they discussed the prospects for joint cooperation between the two friendly countries in all development and investment issues and enhancing trade exchange between Iraq and the Republic of Azerbaijan.' The two sides stressed, "During the meeting, the possibility of benefiting from Azerbaijani technical capabilities to support the Iraqi government's efforts in the field of electronic governance and satellites."
