The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and his Syrian counterpart, Muhammad Khaled Al-Rahmoun, visited on Sunday, the General Directorate for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, to learn about the most important duties and tasks carried out by the Directorate. According to a statement by his office, the Minister stressed the fruitful and successful cooperation among Arab countries, including Syria, in combating drugs, stressing the continuation of regional coordination to combat this dangerous scourge. While the Syrian Minister of the Interior expressed his happiness with this visit, pointing out that the fruitful cooperation with Iraq had positive results and is worthy of pride, as large quantities of narcotic substances were seized, as well as the exchange of information to get rid of this scourge that threatens societies, praising the border fortifications that he built.
