The Israeli army announced approval of operational plans to attack Lebanon. The Israeli newspaper "Israel Hayom" reported on Tuesday evening that the commander of the Israeli Northern Command, Major General Uri Gordin, had conducted an assessment of the security and military situation in northern Israel. Immediately after conducting this assessment, the Israeli army approved executive plans to attack Lebanon. Earlier on Tuesday, the Lebanese "Hezbollah" published scenes recorded by its drones showing important Israeli military centers in a number of areas, amid great tension in the region. The Israeli army had previously reported that the Lebanese "Hezbollah" had launched more than 5,000 missiles, anti-tank shells and booby-trapped drones since October 7. The army spokesman said in an article that "Hezbollah's increasing escalation is bringing us to the brink of what could be a broader escalation, an escalation that could have devastating consequences for Lebanon and the region.
