The Interior Ministry carries out a security campaign in three governorates and arrests 40 wanted persons

The police command detachments in Diwaniyah, Anbar and Diyala governorates carried out a security campaign and arrested a number of wanted persons and violators. The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement on Sunday that 'detachments of Diwaniyah Police Command carried out a wide security campaign, during which they were able to arrest 16 people wanted in various criminal cases, and seized vehicles and motorcycles that did not carry identification papers.' It stated that Anbar Police Command detachments arrested 9 defendants in various criminal cases, most notably terrorism, attempted murder, and other criminal cases, while they seized vehicles with impound signs and motorcycles that did not carry identification papers. The statement indicated that Diyala Police Command detachments carried out a large-scale security campaign, during which they arrested 15 defendants in various criminal cases, ranging from theft, drug abuse, threats, possession of weapons, and other cases, while they seized vehicles with impound signs and motorcycles that did not carry identification papers, and the necessary measures were taken with the seized items.
