The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, President of the Federation of Arab Journalists, Muayad Al-Lami, received at the Syndicate's headquarters a member of the Holy Karbala Governorate Council, Chairman of the Culture and Media Committee, Israa Al-Nasrawi. Al-Nasrawi told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the meeting revolved around discussing issues related to developing the media and cultural sector in the governorate, and enhancing cooperation between government agencies and journalistic institutions to support freedom of the press and develop media work. She added that the head of the Journalists Syndicate promised to visit the governorate soon to check on the conditions of media work and cooperate with the governorate council to find ways to develop it in a way that is commensurate with the size of a city like Karbala, given the religious and cultural heritage it represents.
