The European Union confirmed: 'Iraq is making great strides in the field of combating corruption.' European Union Ambassador Thomas Seiler said, in a speech at the official opening ceremony of the activities of the high-level regional meeting held by the Arab Network for Promoting Integrity and Anti-Corruption: 'The European Union is very interested in the Iraqi and Arab anti-corruption laws, so we are always committed to providing support and assistance with our expertise along with the Iraqi expertise.' He added: 'There are Iraqi legislations that have been implemented, but we need more effective laws.
