Basra police arrested an armed group that threatened an officer. Basra Police Command stated in a statement, "After social media circulated a threat by an armed group to a police officer in the governorate. The team consisting of the Police Command, in cooperation with the Intelligence and Anti-Terrorism Directorate in Basra, was able to identify the group members and track them, which resulted in their arrest and bringing them to justice. The Command confirmed that "this operation is a success for the security efforts in confronting threats and ensuring the protection of police personnel and their families.
