Eng. Abdulraqeeb al-Shurmani, Minister of Water and Environment in the caretaker government and Ahmed Amin al-Masawa, acting Governor of Taiz, on Wednesday inaugurated a solar energy station project aimed at operating nine water wells in Shaab al-Rayhan area of Taiz province. The project, funded by UNICEF and UNEPS at a total cost of $1.5 million, includes a central solar energy system and electric generators to benefit 145,000 people. The initiative is part of efforts to enhance water services in Taiz, aligning with directives from the leader of the revolution Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, to improve local infrastructure and service delivery.
