Hebron - Ma'an - The occupation army arrested 9 citizens at dawn today during a raid and search operation in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron. A number of citizens also suffered from suffocation as a result of inhaling tear gas. The media activist in Beit Ummar, Muhammad Ayyad Awad, said. The occupation army stormed the areas of Asida, Khallet al-Ain, al-Hara al-Tahta, and the center of Beit Ummar. The soldiers raided more than ten homes, and after thoroughly searching them and destroying their contents, 9 citizens were arrested: Youssef Muhammad Mahmoud al-Alami, 28 years old, Muhammad Waheed Hamdi Abu Maria, 23 years old, and Hamdi. Muhammad Hamdi Abu Maria, 25 years old, Ammar Yahya Abdullah Awad, 20 years old, Marwan Rashid Ahmed Sabarneh, 20 years old, Khudair Youssef Khudair Awad, 27 years old, Youssef Saeed Ali Sabarneh, 30 years old, Musab Muhammad Younis Sabarneh, 33 years old, and Yahya Falah Hamdi Abu Mariah, 25 years old. Awad added that during the raids, confrontations broke out with th e occupation soldiers, who fired rubber bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas, which led to a large number of citizens suffering from suffocation cases. They were treated in the field, and the occupation forces withdrew from the town in the early morning hours and transferred the detainees. To an occupation army camp inside the Karmei Tzur settlement, south of the town of Beit Ummar. Later this morning, all detainees were released after field investigation.
