Suffocation Cases Among Students Near Bethlehem Due to Tear Gas

Bethlehem: A number of students from Al-Khader schools, south of Bethlehem, suffered from suffocation due to the Israeli occupation forces firing tear gas bombs during their raid on the town.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the occupation forces stormed Al-Khader and positioned themselves in the “Tall” area of the Old City. They attacked the students while they were heading to their schools by firing tear gas and sound bombs, leading to several cases of suffocation among the students.

The WAFA correspondent added that the occupation forces raided the gate area on the main Jerusalem-Hebron road, deploying tear gas and sound bombs, which resulted in panic among both students and citizens. This follows an incident yesterday when occupation forces attacked Al-Khader students, firing live ammunition, tear gas, and sound bombs around their schools.

Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education highlighted the continuous targeting of Palestinian schools by the occupation army and colonists, warning that such actions disrupt the educational process and threaten the future of students.
