The Spokesman for the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region, Dilshad Shehab, confirmed that the visit of President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, to Baghdad was 'very successful.' Shehab held a press conference in which he said that "the issues of rights, financial entitlements, and the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections were discussed in the meetings with the Iraqi parties." Dilshad Shehab stressed during the press conference in Baghdad that 'there is no reason to threaten the salaries of Kurdistan Region employees,' adding, 'Salaries will be resolved and this guarantee will be given to employees in the near future.' He continued, "What mattered to us was the budget and financial dues to the Kurdistan Region. During the meetings, the issue of the Kurdistan parliamentary elections and the attacks on Kormor were also discussed," describing the visit of the President of the Kurdistan Region to Baghdad as "very successful." He explained that the primary goal of the visit of Kurdistan Regional President Nechirvan Barzani to Baghdad "was to participate in the meeting of the state Administration Coalition." He continued, "Many topics were discussed, including the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani to America, the visit of the Turkish President to Iraq and the Kurdistan region, and other issues related to the financial entitlements of the Kurdistan region, and addressing the technical differences between the federal government and the Kurdistan regional government on the issue of localization and empowerment of banks approved by the Central Bank of Iraq and the Federal Ministry of Finance.
