Spain’s S¡nchez Condemns Gaza Situation, Pledges Ongoing Support for Palestinians

Madrid: Spanish Prime Minister Pedro S¡nchez has reiterated Spain's support for Palestinian rights and denounced the worsening humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, calling for an end to what he described as a massacre.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, S¡nchez emphasized Spain's commitment to advocating for Palestinian rights, highlighting the dire conditions in Gaza. He stated, "One year after recognizing the State of Palestine, the pain in Gaza is unbearable." S¡nchez made these remarks in a post on X, where he further pledged that Spain would continue to vocally oppose the violence, stating, "Spain will continue to raise its voice-louder than ever-to put an end to the massacre the world is witnessing today."

Spain's recognition of the State of Palestine was a significant move, marking it as one of the first European nations to make such a declaration. This decision was lauded by human rights groups and the international community, viewing it as a definitive stance in favor of the Palestinian people's right to self-determination.
