Gaza City: At least six Palestinians were killed and several others injured today as Israeli warplanes and drones continued their attacks across the Gaza Strip, with a concentrated focus on the southern city of Khan Younis.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, one civilian was killed and several others, including a young girl, were injured after an Israeli drone opened fire in the Al-Maslaba area of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in central Gaza City.
Two more civilians were reported killed following an Israeli attack in the Al-Manara neighborhood south of Khan Younis. Their bodies were subsequently transferred to the Gaza European Hospital.
In a separate incident, Israeli fighter jets targeted a farming shelter in the same neighborhood, resulting in the killing of three farmers: Adham Jamal Mohammed Al-Najjar, Mohammed Abdullah Qweider, and Mohammed Khadr Ashour.
Medical sources confirmed that 27 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli air raids across the Gaza Strip since the early hours of Thursday. Among the casualties, 21 were reported in Gaza City and the northern areas of the enclave.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 51,065 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 116,505 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel’s genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
