Gaza city: At least six Palestinian civilians, including those waiting for aid, were killed and dozens wounded early Saturday due to intense Israeli machine gunfire and bombardment on Gaza City and Khan Younis, as reported by a WAFA correspondent.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, medical sources confirmed that a child lost their life in Israeli artillery shelling in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City. An elderly man was also killed by gunfire from Israeli forces in the Al-Mawasi area southwest of Khan Yunis, located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
In another tragic incident, two Palestinians were killed, and approximately 17 others were injured following Israeli shelling on groups of civilians at a humanitarian aid distribution point south of Wadi Gaza, in the central Gaza Strip. Shortly after, three additional Palestinians waiting for aid were killed by Israeli fire near an aid center southwest of Khan Yunis.
Since October 7, 2023, it has been reported that around 64,300 Palestinians have died, with a significant majority being women and children, and nearly 162,005 individuals have been wounded. Thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble and on the streets, unreachable by ambulances and rescue teams.
